Can someone help me out with the following:

How can i integrate Cisco CUCM and Office 365 cloud (Microsoft) with each other.

What should i consider?

Maybe someone can help me out with this.

I coudn't find any document that describes howe and what.

The goal of its integration is that everything will be centralized etc.

Hope to hear some suggestions!

cheerz..

And exactly what's the functionality reason to do that??

Because there's no official integration supported for that elements

And if there is, like the CUCM-Exchange integration, you need to look at MS for documentation, they're the ones that promote it as a UM system, not us.

Jaime,

thanks for your reply,

The goal of its integration is that everything will be centralized etc.

I understood that my manager has everything in the cloud seems he wants to integrate is with Cisco UC.

So that everything can be reachable.

I'm also hunting for the documentation to setup Cisco UC Integration with Office 365 (MS Lync)

As outlined here:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps11390/index.html

We're not looking to setup a unified mailbox between MS and the Unity Connection server - we're looking for the instructions to setup the functionality outlined in the link provided above.

It's not clear if this solution is even supported in a Office 365 (100% hosted) solution.

Thanks

Nate

The product you're after is CUCILync (Cisco UC Integration for Lync) as indicated in the document you linked to.  You didn't specify version, so this may not be the right version for you:

I don't believe that Office 365 is supported, and it is not specifically mentioned in your link.  Office 365 Lync is a different product then Microsoft Office Lync.  It would be a good niche 3rd party integration product, but it doesn't exist today.

Take that back.

The 8.6 release notes show otherwise.  That should get you started.  I'm curious how you fare with it, so if it's not too much trouble for you to post your thoughts I'd appreciate it.

Thanks Will,

We have an Office 365 fully hosted solution with the full MS Office and Lync client installed locally to the client PCs.  I’m trying to determine if it’s possible to provide calling capabilities from the Lync clients via CUCM 9.1.1.

Reviewing the link you sent it would "seem" to be possible.

Thanks for the reply; I’ll see how it goes.

We have a complicated Dial Plan so the one nasty caveat that jumps out is:  “Phone numbers must be in E164 format to allow synchronization between Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Lync Online server.” - UGH

Have a look at the application dial rules section on that link.  Should get you on your way on this.
