Hi all,
I'm doing integration Cisco CM 4.2 with Avaya S8700 using H.323 trunk, I have following the reference guide from Cisco and Avaya, but neither one of them are worked.
https://supportforums.cisco.com/servlet/JiveServlet/previewBody/12369-102-1-27768/ip-trunk-cm.pdf
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/pbx/interop/notes/technote_h323trunk_ext.pdf
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/voice/c_callmg/4_1/pbx_int/430317av.pdf
http://www.avaya.com/master-usa/en-us/resource/assets/applicationnotes/h323-trk-cm-ccm.pdf
Currently the call from Avaya Phone to Cisco IP Phone can established, but call from Cisco IP Phone to Avaya Phone can't connected. When I monitor the trunk on Avaya CM, there is no signaling establishment after I dialed the extension number from Cisco IP Phone.
Does anyone experienced the same problem? Please advice..
Regards,
Teddy

Hey Teddy,
I have not personally configured this myself however it should be no different than any other trunk.
If you are not seeing any signalling inbound on the Avaya when calling from the Cisco side then I would check your CUCM configuration. Start with Partitions, CSS', Route Pattern etc.
When you dial the number from the Cisco side, what do you hear on the IP Phone?
Thx,
John

Hi John,
Thanks for your information.
I believe I have a correct partitions, CSS, and route patterns.
When I dial the number from Cisco side, I heard busy tone. And if i have an incorrect CSS, i will hear the announciator prompt.
I have tried to recheck my configuration, but I didn't find where I miss it. Or maybe there's something must be opened/enabled on avaya side?
Any idea?
Regards,
Teddy

Hey Teddy,
If you have some signalling knowledge which from your opening notes you may well have, then on the CCM, try installing Wireshark and take a packet capture Teddy. See if there is any H225/H245 signalling sent out at all. If not, then the next thing to do is to take detailed CCM SDI/SDL logs.
Let me know how it goes.
Cheers,
John

Hi John,
Thanks for your information.
I'll try to packet capture and do SDI/SDL Logs
