Intercom and CUCM 7

I`m testing Intercom with EM. It seems for Intercom to work you have to associate the Intercom with a device a  user logs into however with EM, a user is not associated with any device. When I do not associate the UDP Profile the Intercom key does not appear only when I associate the UDP to a phone  does it. I`ve seen a DOC regarding this and it does seem to indicate the Intercom must be associated to a device but with EM that goes against the whole purpose of EM - Am i missing a step

I would like to apologize, but you are right, it is going to be a requirement that you associate the intercom line with a physical device.

Hi Gents

I got a problem using my Intercom feature. I have configured the Intercom CSS Partition and DN. However,when i place a call I get a recording

saying your call connot be completed as dial please consult your directory or ask your operator for assistance.

Can anyone help me to resolce this issue.
