IOS and CME versions

Hi to all the Cisco techs,

I believe that the platform for a 2691 MPS router (albeit a bit old) according to the IOS and CME matrix is the following:

12.4(11)T 5 that uses Cisco Unified CME 4.0(2) Specifications for phone loads etc

12.4(4)XC4 that uses Cisco Unified CME 4.0(3) Specifications                 "  

and

12.4(9)T 4, 6 that uses Cisco Unified CME 4.0 Specifications

I have installed c2691 ipbasek9-mz.124-4.13b.bin but somehow the IOS is missing the telephony-services command as I get the invalid marker command when invoking this in priviliged mode for me to progress further

I have already cleared the cache, re-installed the IOS

Can someone assist please?

you need to have ipvoice image.

Thanks for your patience. I have uploaded (C2691-IPVOICEK9-M), Version 12.4(25d) and according to the 2nd link CME 7.1.

IOS shows correct version but CME still shows 3.3 even after I have deleted all cache and verified via sh flash: of files on the router

Hey John,

As per the CME matrix referenced by my friend Aman above (+5) - the latest version you can go for CME for 2691 is 4.0. I don't believe you can go till CME 7.X on this platform.

Any version above 4.0 doesn't have 2691 as supported platform. I would suggest install the below image if you want to go to 4.0:

12.4 XC7 advanced enterprise version: c2691-adventerprisek9-mz.124-4.XC7.bin

or you can install just the ip voice for the version 12.4XC7.

Once you have installed try to run the sh telephony-service command again. At the best it should be 4.0 (X).

Now. As well. I have been able to access other CME's but not 4.0

for CME 4.0(3) , u need 12.4(4)XC4 ipvoice image on 2691 .

CME 4.1 is not supported on 2691 router.

So there was no point using previous IOS as not supported on the router.

So besides Cisco. Perhaps this may sound unorthodox but is there any other sites that allow download of old IOS and CME's please?
