ip phone frimware upgrading

hi

I am using cucm 7.1. and ip phone is 7942g. the problem is the frimware of ip phone was not able to upgrade automaticaly.

and the ip phone was registering and unregistering continiously in cucm for remote site.

please tell me why it was registering and unregistering in cucm, frimware was the problem for this ?

i had tried to upgrade the

cmterm-7942_7962-sccp.9-2-1

frimware using tftp server but it was showing below message

ctlsep(mac).tlv not avilable

sep(mac).cnf.xml not avilable

xmldefault.cnf.xml not avilable

please tell me how to create the above files

Hi

The files you listed should already be on your CUCM.

xmldefault.cnf.xml - a standard file

sep(mac).cnf.xml - should be created when you add the phone to the system

Since you don't see either of these files, do you have Option 150 set correctly on the DHCP server for the remote site? This should point to the CUCM publisher.

You can test the TFTP server from a windows machine like so:

tftp cucmipaddress get xmldefault.cnf.xml

If you get the file OK, your TFTP is OK. If it doesn't work from the remote site, perhaps you have TFTP blocked over the WAN. If it works from the remote site, then your phones may not be pointed at the ccm for option 150.

but at first i am using cucm 4.3 at that time there is no problem of frimware upgrading and registering

while using 7.1 i am facing this problem. it keep on registring and unregistring
