IP Phone registration over VPN CUCM Sandbox 12.5

Hi all,

in order to do some testing, we'd like to connect to the CUCM Sandbox 12.5 via VPN.

Can you please let me know which Cisco Phones we have to order for it?

We've found the following: SPA525G2 (https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/collaboration-endpoints/spa525g2-5-line-ip-phone/data_sheet_c78-603725.html)

Would you recommend this or another model?

Thanks a lot in advance for your support!

Best regards,

Thomas

SPA phones are not natively supported on CUCM, so you would need to configure them as SIP 3rd party endpoints and get a limited set of features.

If you want a phone that is natively supported, see here:

If you want to keep on using it, and don't worry about EOS/EOL, your best option are the 78xx/88xx series

Hi again,

I just talked to my colleague from dev team.

He told me, that he's able to connect to the sandbox via VPN just with ONE device/computer at the same time.
But for our testing we have to establish at least two simultaneous connections at the same time.

Do you know if it's possible to setup more than one parallel connections or is it an unchangeable restriction of the sandbox, that only allows one connection at a time?

Best regards,
Thomas
