ISDN. Calling Party Number problem

DOM.RF NOC

Good day!

I have the following problem:

(diagram attached)

For outgoing calls from phone A to a PSTN - the caller's number (Calling Party Number)

is transmitted correctly, ie displays (for example on my mobile) as 12666.

For outgoing calls from phone B to a PSTN - the caller's number is not transmitted correctly, and is displayed as 12345 (main number of E1).

When debug is as follows:

When calling from the phone A:

1831657: Feb  8 11:51:15: ISDN Se0/0/1:15 Q931: TX -> SETUP pd = 8  callref = 0x1D0F

        Sending Complete

        Bearer Capability i = 0x8090A3

                Standard = CCITT

                Transfer Capability = Speech

                Transfer Mode = Circuit

                Transfer Rate = 64 kbit/s

        Channel ID i = 0xA9839D

                Exclusive, Channel 29

        Calling Party Number i = 0x2181, '12666'

                Plan:ISDN, Type:National

        Called Party Number i = 0x81, '89261111111'

                Plan:ISDN, Type:Unknown

1831658: Feb  8 11:51:15: ISDN Se0/0/1:15 Q931: RX <- CALL_PROC pd = 8  callref = 0x9D0F

        Channel ID i = 0xA9839D

                Exclusive, Channel 29

When calling from the phone B:

1831684: Feb  8 11:51:31: ISDN Se0/0/1:15 Q931: TX -> SETUP pd = 8  callref = 0x1D10

        Sending Complete

        Bearer Capability i = 0x8090A3

                Standard = CCITT

                Transfer Capability = Speech

                Transfer Mode = Circuit

                Transfer Rate = 64 kbit/s

        Channel ID i = 0xA9839F

                Exclusive, Channel 31

        Calling Party Number i = 0x2183, '12777'

                Plan:ISDN, Type:National

        Called Party Number i = 0x81, '89261111111'

                Plan:ISDN, Type:Unknown

ie the only difference is in the Calling Party Number i, in case the number is displayed correctly - is 0x2181, in the case when there is no - i = 0x2183.

Can anybody tell what these codes and that can affect their value. Thank you!

Fillip,

Without getting too much into the details of the codes..Lets estabish some basics. Is the 12777 part of your DDI range allocated to you by your provider. Usually if this is not then y our provider will replace the CLI with the main E1 number

Yes, 12777 is the part of our DDI range.

If I set the same number on the CUCM 7.1 - the caller's number is transmitted correctly. The only problem is calling from CUCM 6.1 through ICT. And I think the reason is in 0x2183 and 0x2181.

I have had a look around and it looks like when the calling party number i=0x2183 < > the CLI is not displayed.

Does this affect all numbers from the CUCM6.1? Or is it just thi number?

Yes, this is affect all numbers registered at CUCM 6.1..

Can you check on the inter cluster trunk--under outbound calls--that you have -"Display ie delivery ticked. IF you dont tick it and reset the trunk

Display ie delivery is already ticked.

Does anyone know what is the difference between i=0x2181 and i=0x2183?

According to the ITU's Q.931 spec, I realized that the value of 0x2181 means Screening indicator - User-provided, verified and passed, and the 0x2183 means Screening indicator - Network provided. Ie in the case of a call from an internal phone one is taken 0x2181, in the case of a call received through ICT - 0x2183.

But I did not understand what parameters ICT can influence the value.

Hi,

Another thing to check is the route pattern pointing to the ICT. Can you check to see if there is caller id restriction on the calling party section.
