Issue with call recording on CUCM 11.5 and NICE Call Recorder.

Dear All,

 

We are facing issue with Call recording with Cisco SIP phones registered on CUCM 11.5 We are using NICE Call Recording.

 

Call recordings on the NICE Recorder are not playable.

 

below is the analysis of the test call.

 

  1. Below is the call made between Extension 3438 and Extension 3421.
  • IP Address - 172.24.14.97 – Extension 3438 – Enabled for Recording.
  • IP Address – 172.24.14.56 – Extension 3421
  • IP Address – 172.24.11.121 – IP Address of NICE Recording Server

  1. Below is the snap of bidirectional audio stream generated by both the IP Phones. Spikes in the below snapshot is actual audio stream. It is playable properly.

  1. When it comes to sending RTP packets to NICE Recording Server -

Phone is sending RTP packets over network properly but due to some network issue almost half of the RTP packets are getting lost in the network and only half of the RTP packets are reaching NICE Recording server.

 

We can see these broken recording files generated on NICE recording server as well.  Below is the snapshot.

 

You can see the packet loss on snap in 1st point.

  1. The broken RTP packets reaching to the NICE Recording server are having wrong sequence number and are not playable on NICE Recording Server.

Did anyone faced same issue. Can someone please help to resolve this.

 

I am attaching Wireshark Packet capture of this call.
