Issue with Emergency Dial peer - Australia

Hi,

I've installed a UCME and am having all sorts of troubles getting dial-peers to work for emergency and international number calls.

In australia, the secondary dial tone is 0, we dial 000 for emergency and 0011 for international access. problem is when i have the emergency dial-peer configured, everytime i dial an international number it was hitting the emergency dialpeer. To over come this i configured a dial peer to match an emergency call which uses the secondary dialtone.

my dial-peers are below:

Emergency dial peer

dial-peer voice 200 pots
trunkgroup ISDN
description -= OUTBOUND EMERGENCY CALLS =-
destination-pattern 0000
progress_ind alert enable 8
progress_ind progress enable 8
progress_ind connect enable 8
forward-digits 3

International dial peer

dial-peer voice 207 pots
trunkgroup ISDN
corlist outgoing PT-International
description -= OUTBOUND INTERNATIONAL CALLS =-
destination-pattern 00011T
progress_ind alert enable 8
progress_ind progress enable 8
progress_ind connect enable 8
prefix 0011

Any help on this would be appreciated, its frustrating me grately.

I am trying to have 2 dial peers that allows emergency to be called either by 000 or 0000 which will still allow international calls.

Hi,

The problem we are facing is because of overlapping dial-peers.

The option i could think of is creating 3 dial-peers with destination pattern as follows:

"0000"-- dial-peer voic 1 pots
"00011T"-- Dial-peer voice 2 pots
"000T"--dial-peer voice 3 pots

So, in this case, you may educate your employees, by informing them that they would be required to press "#" for quicker call connection. Apart from that you can also reduce the interdigit timeout to a comparatively lesser time.

I am not sure if there are any other options apart from this.

Any suggestion from other forum member is welcome.

Thanks,

Som.
