Language dictionaries and contacts import....

Hi,

We have a bunch of CP6851 phones which had only their basic SIP settings configured.  Now I have managed to set the display names and NTP time settings etc via its webinterface.

However we also need to change the display language to Norwegian and also to import contacts list from files.

Where do I find compatible (Norwegian) language dictionary files for this phone for download?  And is it possible to upload the language dictionary so this becomes the permanent language or does it always require to have its selected dictionary downloaded from an external (FTP) server..?

Also I wonder how I can  upload our contacts list(s) to the phone from some data (CSV?) file format...

Thanks a lot for comments on this

Hi there,

For language selection and localisation, please refer to this post: https://community.cisco.com/t5/collaboration-voice-and-video/mpp-localisation/ta-p/3985987

You will be able to download the locale file, containing all supported languages from here software.cisco.com/download/home

As for the directory,  your best bet here would be to use xml directory. You would be able to download it from a local or remote server.

Please take a look at the admin and provisioning guides for more help on xml directory.
