Licenses help

I need just confirmation, i have 3 cisco servers ( one pub , two sub). I have already installed three servers , for licenses for IP phones

1- is the licenses will be installed for every server or just the pub and it will be enough.

2- is there will be any other license for PUB to recognize other two servers (two sub).

please help

Thank you for your reply , the version is 8.6 . I have other question ( i have three servers , how can i distinguish between them to make one pub , other two sub ot it is random).

Then you use the PUB MAC address for all licenses, you need DLU license, node license and SW feature license.

You choose upon install if it's going to be a PUB or SUB.

And you need 3 node licenses.

Thank you so much , i have the last question ( it is ok to install the 3 servers , after that set the licenses file upload to them). Other thing the licenses will be uploaded only for the pub (not the two sub).

Yes, you bind all the licenses to the license server, and install all of them there.

You can install it, but won't be able to start CUCM services until licenses are installed.

Hi Mohamed,

You can generate the Node /Feature licenses by using MAC -address of Publisher and upload them only in Publisher.

You can either send the mail to licensing @cisco.com by providing MAC-address and Sales Order Number or visit the site  www.cisco.com/go/license .

Later on, u can add Subscribers to the cluster.Licenses are never uploaded to Subscribers.
