Hi All,
I just obtained the DLU license from Cisco for CCM 6x. We have just one publisher server. Does the CCM require a reboot after the license upload and will there be a downtime during this process? thanks in advance.

Hi Naveen,
This process does not require any downtime :)
Procedure

Step 1 Choose System > License > Upload License File.
The License File Upload window displays.
Step 2 The Existing License Files drop-down list box displays the license files that are already uploaded to the server.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 3 To choose a new license file to upload, click Upload License File.
The Upload File pop-up window displays.
Step 4 Browse and choose a license file to upload to the server.
Step 5 Click Upload License File.
After the upload process is complete, the Upload Result file displays.

Hey guys, I thought you have to restart the CCM service when you insert a lic file for a server?

I actually did restart the CCM service, as it was mentioned in the License page. however, there were 50 DLU's to begin with, I addded 20 more DLU's, the license page now shows -30 Licenses.....this is confusing me....I'm supposed to have 70 DLU's but the licensing page is showing something else altogether!! please suggest

Hi Naveen,
If these were the 50 DLU's that come pre-loaded on CCM, they are overwritten when you load the permanent DLU Licenses.
Hope this helps!

Bob, does this mean that in addition to the already existing 50 DLU's the CCM now has another 20 DLU's or have the 50 DLU's don't exist anymore?
