Hi,

Presently, I have a customer having a CM 6.1.

They want features like mobility extensions, single number reach and Microsoft OCS integration.

Would like to know the following,

1) What DLU licenses need to be consider and purchased for the three features ?

2) Have that maximum license reached on the Mobility enabled users. Would like to know what type of licenses needed to purchase for that ?

Many Thanks

For Microsoft OCS (Enterprise Voice) there is no additional licensing to be purchased. Enterprise voice is the most common method of integration into the OCS enviroment. With that verison it also supports direct SIP trunking without a gateway (ex.Dialogics, Audiocodes)

Extension Mobility - No additional cost's - only setup of the profiles and end user training. More information here: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/6_0_1/ccmfeat/fsem.html#wpxref51829

Single number reach requires 2- DLUs - more information here: http://blog.ipexpert.com/2009/12/30/unified-mobility-%E2%80%93-part-1/

Mobility will consumer either 2 or 4 DLUs depending on your setup

OCS will consume either 1 or 4 DLUs depending on your setup

For 500 users you should order an additional + 4000 DLUs to over these features.

You can use the calculator as I instructed in the previous post.

"Check this check box to activate Mobile Connect, which allows the user to manage calls by using a single phone number and to pick up in-progress calls on the desktop phone and cellular phone.

Checking this check box, which triggers licensing to consume device license units for Mobile Connect, works in conjunction with the Primary User Device drop-down list box.

If you check the Enable Mobility check box and fail to choose an adjunct device from the Primary User Device drop-down list box, four device license units (DLUs) get consumed, as indicated in the Mobility Enabled End Users row in the License Unit Calculation window.

If you enable Cisco Unified Mobility and later choose an adjunct device from the Primary User Device drop-down list box, the system credits you with two DLUs, as indicated in the Mobility Enabled End Users row in the License Unit Calculation window."

You can calculate the required device units from
System > Licensing > License Unit Calculator

OCS integration is 3 DU's per user 'Cisco Unified Client Services Framework'

The challenges now the customer needs

1) Microsoft OCS integrate with Presence

2) Extension Mobility

3) Single number reach

If the customer have 500 users how many DLU and the type of DLU needed for that ?

Recently, I have enabled the extension mobility for many users but I got hit to an error as below,

update failed.Allocated licenses consumed by used and pending. Please upload licenses (a new license file) and try again.

What is the reason caused this error ?

Many Thanks

Repost - Posted in wrong spot.

1) Extension Mobility

2) One number dialling

3) OCS microsoft communicator
