Hi all,
I am trying my first installation where I am upgrading background images on phones. It seems very straightforward with one phone type, eg. 7942's, but in this installation there will be a few 7942's, 7945's and 7975's to name a few. I have done tftp-server flash with an alias under the correct desktops folder for the 7942's, and then went to do the same with the 7945's folder and it is telling me a file with the name List.xml is already being served (obviously).
Am I supposed to combine all background images and thumbnails for all phone types into one List together, and serve the one list or what?
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Nic.

Hi,
It depends on phone type. for example
For 99XX or 89XX phone :- Sub directory is Desktops/640x480x24
For 7965 or 7946 Phone :- Sub directory is Desktops/320x212x16
Like wise you can see individual phone admin guide and see the target sub diretory.

See the table at the bottom of this good document which summarizes which phone type falls under which folder, in which case it shares the xml file. It basically comes up to the screen size of the phone, if the screen is the same it uses the same file.
