Hi! Can I get the serial number of an HP MCS server running CM 5.1 through the SSH session? I tried all the show commands and can't find it anywhere.

show hardware should show it:

Maybe you're hitting a bug

I see what you mean. The documentation does say that command will show the serial #.
However, I am not able to see it via an SSH session w/ show hardware or even show tech all. [CUCM 5.1.3]
Is it a strict requirement to get the serial # thru SSH only?
I see my serial # in the web interface:
https://myhpmcsserver/iptplatform
then select Show>Harware
I also feel duty bound to warn you that this serial # is one of two that I see stamped on my HP MCS servers. Not sure what the other one is for..

no, actually most of the times i ask users to get me the SN if needed thru the webadmin and it's the same thing. usually it's easier to ask it that way.
