I have a 7965 and when I press "Messages" button, it picks up 2nd line on the phone instead of primary line.
If anyone has come across and knows resolution, please let me know.

Hi Rohan,
There is a CUCM parameter for "Always use Prime Line for Voicemail" which can be changed from False
to True
CUCM System > Service Parameters > Clusterwide Parameters (Device - Phone) > Always use Prime Line for Voicemail
Or on the phone Device page itself

Just to add to Rob's response, this is expected behavior and may be what you want. If only line 2 has a new VM then it will invoke that line, if both line 1 and line2 have a new message the system will always default to line 1. So, this can be simply training where before pressing Messages button users should see which line the message is for (you can view it by looking for a flashing envelope next to the line).
