Does anyone have an idea how to configure MGCP and SIP on the same gateway? Since we are planning to merge two cisco routers into one, one running on sip and the other on mgcp. Is there an inter-routing protocol needed for them to both work on the same gateway? Thanks!

No, there's nothing special to do as they're different protocols and won't even mix at the GW, MGCP will always backhaul all to CUCM, and SIP will take the routing decisions based on your config.

LIke Jaime said they are two separate protocols and run independant of each other.
I actually do this now with one 3925e being a SIP GW while also serving as an MGCP PRI GW. In an emergency situation I even ran the above to two separate CUCM clusters
