Hey team,

I have been configuring MGCP communication between our communication manger and a Siemens PBX.

But I don´t have a DNS server at moment in our lab.

Can I configure the Domain name field with IP of the router?

Hi Jean,

You are using BNC cable since u are using Co-axial connectors on VWIC card? Did u try swapping them.

Are u using some convertor between Siemens and router or on Siemens side u also have BNC connectors?

Can u share the show inventory/diag from the router?

Hi Jean,

you can configure the command ip host [hostname of CUCM] [ip address of CUCM server] in MGCP router.

In Call manager under MGCP config----Domain Name [enter the hostname of router]

But My router MGCP does not register on CUCM.

My controller is down and my voice port also! Very strange..

Hi Jean,

Make sure Siemens side is configured as netowrk side and router is user side.Under the serial port , issue the command isdn protocol-emulate user

also, share show controllers E1 output.
