MGCP endpoint registration rejected

I have rejected MGCP endpoint registration. (Status Column in the CCM 5.0 : REJECTED)

What could be the possible causes?

Check the Domain name, It should be same as Router Host name, or you may change the Host name of the router (MGCP Gateway) & delete old one in call manager & reregister again.

Set "debug mgcp packets" on the GW and check what the response is when the GW tries to register

200 all good

500 - Name being sent by the GW is incorrect

Check if  IP Domian name xxxxx is set on the GW is so, this needs to be added to the GW Host name in CCM

IP domain name CISCO.COM

So the GW name in CCM must be GW1.CISCO.COM

if ip domain name is not set then confirm what the Host name is in both CCM and GW

The trick is that voice gw do not check service name for existence, so if u misspelled it - nothing will work
