Microsoft OCS with UCM

Does the Microsoft OCS client provide line status of Cisco phones (available/unavailable) without the use of a Presence server?  Specifically if using the Cisco Unified Integration for Microsoft Office Communicator.

It does.  It's got a cti hook right into UCM.  We run it and we don't have a presence server.

could you send me some details regarding you implementation? Do you user Mediation Server or connecting direct to a OCS pool Server? Are there some special settings on UCM?
