migration from CCM 4.2 TO CCM 10.5 on be6000M

i have CCM version 4.2 software installed on HP server ,and about 500 ip phones series  cp-79xx

How migrate to bek6000m ?

what is the license ?

You have two options, migrate as much info as you can using BAT, then massage as necessary and recreate your config in 10.5 before importing the data.

The long way, use DMA to upgrade to 7.1(5), then use PCD for the last migration to 10.5. You would get all your data, but you require a server capable of holding 7.1(5), and the right set of licensed for PCD to work its magic.

I would also throw in there a new build as 4.2 is 6 major releases behind and you might be better served with new configuration taking advantage of new features.

As to licensing, it depends if your system is still under support which I don't believe such an old one can be so you'll need to purchase new licensing or see if Cisco has migration promotions available.
