Hello everyone,
I just started studying the Cisco Voice and I would like to ask you some questions.
My scenario is the following:
Two sites: HQ and Branch1
HQ has a CME who manages the ip phones and PSTN for both sites (HQ and Branch communicate via IPSec tunnel).
Now I have to migrate the telephony part from CME to a Cisco UCS located at the Branch1.
How would I accomplish this migration?
What I thought is that I have to configure the CUCM to register the IP Phones, call park, pickup groups, device pools,partition/CSS and translation patterns.
Then I have to configure a router voice (with PVDM and BRI modules) as a voice gateway, configuring dial-peers to call from and to the PSTN.
I have the CME config and I think I could use it to configure the dial-peers for the voice gateway.
I am a bit confused as my first time touching a UCS/Voice gateway so any help is welcome.
If you need more informations, let me know.
Thank you.

You are on the right track. You will need to add the gateway also to cucm. You ca ither use h323, mgcp or sip...
Use the links below to configure h323 gateway in cucm

Hi aokanlawon,
Thanks for the reply.
Good to know I am on the right track
I have another question:
Is it possible to simulate a call from PSTN? If yes, what do I need to do?
