MinSE parameter of cucm

Hi, anyone tried to change the MinSE value in cucm? The default value is 1800. But the nice recorder setting is 90 and they requested we configure the same value in cucm.

Will it have any impact on other services using sip?

Thanks.

The Min-SE value states that this is the minimum value allowed for the interval, so setting it to a value of 90 would mean a minimum of 90 seconds but values higher than that are also supported.

Yes, this will affect the way the CUCM behaves in all of its calls. I have seen many customers with NICE integrated and not reporting issues with calls.

You need to see if any other applications needs a higher minimum session timer value. If the Min-SE field is lesser than their expected value, then they will send a 422 back to the CUCM.

Thanks for the info...if I have several sip trunks with different services, it will be very difficult to comply with each of them...l..

Hello,
I wonder if the min-se value mismatch may cause the one way voice. I face the following scenario Company A has Min-SE: 1800, whereas company B has Min-SE: 10800.
Company A calls company B, company A can hear company B members but company B members cannot hear company A employees.
Test calls were completed and only error message displayed was as follows:
"Session timer too small".
The sip provider suggested that it may be due to the sip min-se mismatch. Anyone experienced something similar? Thank you.

ziqex,

Take a look at this thread. If nothing else you will be able to set something up for a test that won't impact all of your calls, and then you can test to see if it is causing the one way audio.

Here's one of the issues that were faced with the Min-SE timer.
