hello

I have a Cisco 2620 router with a nm-hdv module fitted with vic-2mft-e1 card and 3 pvdm12 modules. Which I use for training and testing. I am trying to configure hardware transcoding and conference bridging.

I have a feature set that supports H.323 as I have the device configured as an H.323 gateway and this works with Call Manager 4.2(3) fine.

Trawling google, cco and this forum I need to enable dspfarm but prior to this on an NM-HDV module you have to issue the dsp services dspfarm card under the voice-card.

This command doesn't exists under my voice card

Voice-card configuration commands:

I have checked the command reference and the command was introduced in 12.2 so I am struggling to understand why this command is missing.

Hey,

"show voice dsp" to check the status of the dsp channels.

Give this a try too:

give "sccp" command in global config mode

no dspfarm in global config mode

enable "debug dspfarm all"

in global config mode : "dspfarm"

then try configuring again

Thank you for your prompt response. None of the commands are available. However I have now discovered that the conferencing and transcoding is only available in the IP Plus Feature which will require a memory upgrade on my router to support.

good to hear russell that u were able to figure out what was casuing the issue. btw could you post the output of show version to know which version ur using and your memory .. it would be informational..thnks
