Hi Everyone,
We're currently in the middle of an upgrade with a customer going from CUCM 4.1(3) to 7.1(3). We've used temporary licenses to do the cut-over and now those licenses are coming to an end. We really need some support as to who we need to speak with to get the following two missing items:
1) CUCM Feature License
2) Windows Media Kit and DVD
The customer is entitled to these items with their contracts (UCSS). Has anyone else seen a similar problem..how might we be able to get a hold of these items?
Thanks,
MA

MA,
For the CUCM feature license, if the customer is current on UCSS (as you said) then you can simply contact licensing@cisco.com and work with them to get the proper, permanent license. This is usually not a problem.
For the Windows Media Kit and DVD, your customer needs to use the Product Upgrade Tool (PUT) on Cisco.com to order this kit. When you login to PUT with a CCO account associated with the service contract(s) the customer has, you'll see a list of each item the customer is entitled to order and the quantity of each. You can order the OS media there; however, if you are migrating from 4.1 to 7x then you won't need a Windows Media Kit. Instead, you'll need to order a CCM 4x to CUCM 7x upgrade license and that will initiate a kit being sent to you that includes the DVD media to upgrade your existing servers to the Linux platform. If you are ordering new servers for 7x and using DMA, then that kit will also come with a PAK (Product Authorization Key) that you can email to licensing@cisco.com and get the permanent licensing for your 7x servers.

Thanks David..in our case we've ordered new servers for 7x..should the media kit come with the new servers, or did we have to order this separately?

The servers come prebuilt but will have media with them as well. You
do need to order the upgrade kit from the PUT tool so you can get a
permanent license for the new servers.
