MTP disconnect call H323 gateway

I am using Cisco 2800, call slow is PSTN >> Cisco 2800 (H323) >> Call Manage 4.1

dspfarm profile 3 mtp
 codec g729r8
 maximum sessions software 50
 associate application SCCP

IOS Version 12.4(13r)T,

Call is getting disconnect when we checked the option MTP required on call manager 4.1,

What's the reason for invoking the MTP?

What's the region setting between

GW---MTP

MTP---Phone

Are you sure that only the IOS mtp is getting invoked? verify the MRGL/MRG settings once.

We require MTP to be invoked as from Call Manager 4.1 we have trunk to voice mail server i.e OCS that will not work is MTP is not checked.

Region setting between GW and Call manager is G711

What do you mean by Region setting between the GW and Call manager??

I assume the OCS is connected via a SIP trunk.

Check what's the region for the H323 gw, SIP trunk and MTP on the respective device pools.

Then go to the region config and verify the relationship

H323 GW reg ---- with ---- MTP reg

MTP reg ---- with --- SIP trunk reg

Your MTP is configured for g729 codec as per the dspfarm profile you mentioned earlier.

If your region settings are G711 throughout then you need to change the MTP to use g711.

If you want to use G729 then make sure region settings are also appropriately set and also the GW and OCS are capable of using G729. On the GW it would be the dial-peer setting and OCS must also be having some configurable setting I assume.
