Hi everyone.
I've been asked if it's possible for a 'loud ringer' connected to an FXS port (SCCP or MGCP...I can configure it either way) can be set up to ring when either of a pair of IP phone extensions ring. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Felix

Since you only have one DN set on the FXS page, you can use a translation pattern to translate the second number to to DN set on the port. That way you can call either number to reach the port.

Hi Joe. Thanks for the response.
The scenario is that we have two IP phones with different DNs on them, and we want this loud ringer to ring whenever either of the IP phones gets a call. The IP phones have different business functions, so we can't consolidate them in the way you're suggesting through a translation. It's just that they're in a noisy environment, so they want to know when a call is coming in on either phone.
Thanks,
Felix

You could make the DID of each phone the pilot of a broadcast hunt group that includes just the phone in question and the analog device (with a non-DID on it). You could even work some goofy outbound PT/CSS/translations to mask outbound calls to look like they're coming from the DID.
