Music On Hold between two CUCM clusters via a SIP trunk?

Good Day All,

Just trying to find out if it is possible for one CUCM cluster (version 9.1)  to receive its Music On Hold from a second CUCM cluster (version 7.1)  over a SIP trunk?

I did not see any reference to this in the features guide.

Please let me know if you have seen this done before.

The answer to that as far as I know is NO.

This is because CUCM uses the MRGL of the held and holding party to determine the audio source file to play and the server to use the play the file. The question is will CUCM be aware of the MRGL of the phones on the other cluster..NO.

So thats where it breaks. It wont be able to play MOH from another cluster
