I have used Audacity in past. Its a free app, refer here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/

Instructions here on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMbKTwSYKQA

Also here: http://josonone.blogspot.com.au/2012/02/cucm-moh-conversion.html

Format should be similar to CUCM, upload using the TFTP:

Music On Hold Audio Sources

When the administrator imports an audio source file, the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration window interface processes the file and converts the file to the proper format(s) for use by the music on hold server.

The recommended format for audio source files includes the following specifications:

16-bit PCM wav file

Stereo or mono

Sample rates of 48 kHz, 32 kHz, 16 kHz, or 8 kHz

Additional Information

See the "Related Topics" section.

Creating Audio Sources

Most standard wav files serve as valid input audio source files, including the following file types:

16-bit PCM (stereo/mono)

8-bit CCITT a-law or mu-law (stereo/mono)

I have used Audacity as well, and it is bit complicated at the beginning however soon you should be able to use it without any issue.

Secondly, just make sure you restart the Cisco IP Voice Media Streaming App Service, just to make sure that things are indeed in place.

Hi,

Alternatively, if you are a MAC OSX user, MAC OSX can built-in TTS capability to convert whatever text to audio file which can be used in CUCM/CUC/CME/CUE.

You can use the following command from MAC OSX CMD to create audio files (you need to navigate to the location where you want the audio files to be created):

say -v #speaker-name# -o #file-name#.wav --file-format=WAVE --data-format=ulaw@8000 #Text which you can to convert to audio file#

Example: say -v Samantha -o reentermeetingid.wav --file-format=WAVE --data-format=ulaw@8000 You have entered invalid meeting ID
