Gurus,
After upgrading my CUE to the latest version, I had three users whose MWI lights were stuck on, though there were no messages in the mailbox. I had them dial the MWI-off extension, and it does turn the MWI off, but it keeps it off, even if there are messages in the box.
Just looking for any advice you might have.

Hi Michael,
It's always something isn't it with these things :)
There are some good ideas in this doc;
Cisco Unity Express
Troubleshooting Unity Express Message Waiting Indication (MWI) Problems

Hope this helps!

Michael,
I had the same problem. I upgraded CUE software from 3.0(1) to 3.0(3).The upgrade did not helped at all.
Actually what happened was after a couple of days UDP ports got blocked.Hence MWI on/off messages were being blocked.
Following workaround helped (CME configuration):
!
telephony service
timeout ringing 6
!
I was told that MWI problem will be solved in the next release of CUE software.
Keep in mind this workaround affects the ringing time of DNs which are not CFNA enabled. If CFNA is configured on DN, then CFNA tiemeout overrides the ringing timeout.
