Hi All,
I wanted to know if I can put two VWIC3-4MFT-T1/E1 and two VWIC3-2MFT-T1/E1in the same slot ( I want to use slot0 preferrably but open to any suggestion) on a Cisco 3945E Voice ISR. Basically, I want to replicate the T1 & E1 voice PRI connections that we've on the 6509 CatOS (we've 1*6608 T1 and 1*6608 E1 module on the 6509) on the 3945E. Also, please advise on the PVDM3 needed to accommodate the calls. I think I should be good with 2*PVDM-256 and 1*PVDM-128 on the motherboard. Will highly appreciate your inputs.
Thanks.

You state that you need 12x T1/E1 ports. For that you can use 3 x VWIC3-4MFT-T1/E1. These will fit directly into VWIC slow of the router. Then for a full E1 configuration (360 channels), you will need a minimum ox 1x PVDM3-256 and 1 x PVDM3-128.

Thank You Paolo for your response.
I want to keep T1 and E1 separate i.e. 6 T1 and 6 E1 for which I'll need 2*4MFT and 2*2MFT cards. Can all these 4 cards go into the slot0 module together? I'm not sure how many VWIC cards are supported in slot0 on 3945. On 3845, I think only 2 VWIC cards are supported in slot 0. To use the VWIC cards in another slot, we'll need to use NM-HDV2 flavor, right? Thanks.

Again, there is no need for NM modules. The cards fits directly in the router, up to four.

Hi Senir,
I was just referring the link for OIR[Online Insertion Removal].
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/access/2900/hardware/installation/guide/appendix.html
Can u just check in offline mode for command hw-module slot[1-4] oir-stop ?

Again: there is no support for OIR on VWIC, and no "surprise insertion" support for any module.
