Let me explain the issue. The phone is configured in the call manager and in VLAN it is up but still it shows as unknow.
i tried performing factory for 7940 phone.

Does the show obtain proper IP address, and TFTP server address?
Can you browse the IP address of the phone and view its configuration from there?
