Hi all,

I have HQ & BR connected to each other over WAN.

I have configure region as G.729 between HQ & BR

I wana limit the number of calls to pass over WAN, in order to achieve this i configured two locations, with 80Kbps Audio Bandwidth. I define locations into device pool & device pool are assigned into phones.

when i try to call from HQ to BR1 its giving Not enough Bandwidth

Can any body tell me wat wrong ??

Regards,

Hi Anis,

All you should need to do is set the Audio bandwidth on the BR location and leave everything else as defaults.  In your case, you'll leave the RSVP parameter as it's default, which is No Reservation.

Hi Anis,

You can do this by configuring one region for the BR location and set the appropriate bandwidth, and leave the HQ location as the default Hub_None.  No need to configure two regions here.  Not sure if you're intending on using AAR or not, but if so you'll need to set the Automated Alternate Routing Enable service parameter to True (default is False).  If it still doesn't work then it sounds like a configuration issue with your regions/codec/locations.

Hi chris,

Thanks for your reply,

you mean i need to create one Location for BR with specified bandwidth & let the HQ be in HUB_None location.

On location configuration page at cucm, For BR do i need to select HUB_NONE with Mandatory RSVP Setting option & for HUB_NONE do i need to select BR with Mandatory RSVP Setting option ?

Thanks

Alright got it bro,

Its working ... thanks

Now if i want to achieve AAR as well, wat else i need to do other than enabling the AAR feature from service parameter ?

Great, glad it's working!  Check out the following link which explains AAR and has a good example:

Hi Chris,

Thanks for sharing usefull link.

One more question :

Can you tell me how to configure RSVP Call Admission Control (CAC) between HQ and BR site based on bandwidth limitations ?

Anis
