hi all,

today i need to add some help if any one face one way connection audio issue in same vlan,

i mean i have 2 IP Phone 7841 with same vlan 192.168.15.10 and 192.168.15.11.

now the the issue is user (A)192.168.15.10 can not hear  (B)192.168.15.11,  but user (B) can hear user (A) normally.

there is no firewall issue or routing configuration need to be set.

so how we can solve this issue?

there are some steps you can do

- change switch port

- shut - no shut switch port

- reset network setting in IP Phone

- reset factory for IP Phone

hope this are usual, if any one have more points pls add

Two other thoughts:

  • Check the SDP for the call to verify that phones are actually transmitting audio directly to the other phone’s IP and not a media resource such as an MTP.
  • Confirm the switch config is actually allowing the traffic. First hop security features, private VLAN, or NAC/ISE profiling, or ARP table problems, could all be blocking traffic.

Last resort is running separate packet captures on both switch ports. If the phone is transmitting RTP packets to the correct IP address but they’re not arriving on fhe other interface, it’s not the phone’s fault.
