Fax call flow is like
ITSP-------[sip]-----------gateway-------[323]-----------------Right Fax server.
thank you

The outogin dial-peer the call is matching is dial-peer 11. This dial-peer is configured for sip...your diagram shows that your right fax is using h323..You should configure a h323 dial-peer to your right fax server

Hi Aokanlawon,
either it is sip or h323 the outbound fax getting failed.
this is the debug from cisco 2811, this call getting successful, with the same config...

this is cisco 2811 router dial-peer
dial-peer voice 11 voip
description **Outgoing Call to SIP Trunk**
translation-profile outgoing OUT_FAX
destination-pattern 33.T
session protocol sipv2
session target ipv4:10.200.7.157
codec g711alaw
fax protocol pass-through g711alaw
no vad
and the dtmf command not required for this.....and the fax is working fine with this, why not with 2951
05-18-2013 06:09 AM
If you want to know why, then you should send me debug ccsip all...Once you have done the test then please apply the command...test again

05-18-2013 06:13 AM
can i add
rule 8 /^33\(.*\)/ /\1/
to send any number starting from 33 to ITSP.instead of the 7 rules in prfile 5
voice translation-rule 5
rule 1 /^33\(.......\)/ /\1/
rule 2 /^33\(.........\)/ /\1/
rule 3 /^33\(............\)/ /\1/
rule 4 /^33\(..........\)/ /\1/
rule 5 /^33\(..........\)/ /\1/
rule 6 /^33\(.............\)/ /\1/
rule 7 /^33\(...........\)/ /\1/
voice translation-rule 5
rule 1 /^33\(.*\)/ /\1/
and for the debug ccsip all,
i have to wait for the work hours finish, as currently i switched back to 2811 for the fax problem,
i can provide you the details after 1 hour as our working hours finished.
05-18-2013 06:17 AM
Yes you can do that. Thats much better. Ok let me know when you do the test...
this is the order I need the test
1. switch o the 2951, enable debug ccsip all and test, collect the logs
2. configure the dtmf-relay rtp-nte ont he dial-peer 11, test and collect the logs too

05-18-2013 06:28 AM
ok, i will send the logs as you instructed,
i got a doubt, may be it looks very silly to you.....
i have the outgoing dial-peer 11 which strips 33
dial-peer voice 11 voip
description **Outgoing Call to SIP Trunk**
translation-profile outgoing OUT_FAX
destination-pattern 33.T
session protocol sipv2
session target ipv4:10.200.7.157
codec g711alaw
fax protocol pass-through g711alaw
no vad
and here i am matching the translation-rule which comapres the numbers unless its starts with 33
voice translation-rule 5
rule 1 /^33\(.......\)/ /\1/
rule 2 /^33\(.........\)/ /\1/
rule 3 /^33\(............\)/ /\1/
rule 4 /^33\(..........\)/ /\1/
rule 6 /^33\(.............\)/ /\1/
rule 7 /^33\(...........\)/ /\1/
is it right or shall i remove that and specify only
voice translation-rule 5
rule 1 /\(.*\)/ /\1/
so that each and every number can be matched...

First of all the debug ccsip all doesnt contain the call in it. Please do the ff:
esnure you send your logs to the router buffer by using the steps below:
Router#configuration terminal
Router(config)#no logging console
Router(config)#no logging monitor
Router(config)#service timestamps debug datetime msec
Router(config)#logging buffered 5000000 debugging
Router(config)#service sequence
Router(config)#no logging rate-limit
Router(config)#exit
Router#term len 0
Router#clear log
Turn on these debugs.
debug ccsip all
Place a call.
Router# show log
When you do the show log, you will need to capture the entire output to a file, which varies depending on how you connect to the device. You can use putty to obtain the logs
Second have you changed the dtmf on dial-peer 11...??
This debug voip ccapi looks successful. This call matches dial-peer 20..what is this test for?

Hi,
i am really sorry that there is no fax call in the debug.
i switched to 2951 from 2811 and send a fax to get the debug, it took some time meanwhile, other employees who were warking might did some calls which got captured, as they are going through dial-peer 20,
and i shift the connections back to 2811 and isloated the router 2951 from network and uploaded the debugs and came home, now i have no access to the router as it is not on network.
i can provide the debugs tommorrow.
i captured another debug but it didn't get saved, just the ccapi inout file "debug new" contains the call, my fax number is 2505481
05-19-2013 12:53 AM
Pretty much if you want to achieve Fax between the Cisco CUBE and Fax Server, use SIP all the way and make sure that you setup t.38 correctly on the CUBE, since may ITSP will use t.38, or G711 passthrough, in such case you have to setup the CUBE to connect g711 all the way, so the Fax tones are transmitted over the RTP stream...
In addition, please make sure to capture a complete debug, with all the signaling from Fax to CUBE and from CUBE to ITSP.
