Outgoing Caller ID

Hi Community,

Bit of a strange question - I don't think it's possible but just wanting to confirm.

Is it at all possible to program a button on an IP Phone handset which effectively blocks the outgoing Caller ID if activated?

No, I dont believe this is possible.

You cannot program the button, but you can make your own route pattern specific to restricting caller ID.  For example, I have a RP starting with\*67. that is the same as my standard outgoing RP, however it has both Calling Line ID Presentation and Calling Name Presentation set to Restricted.  This allows me to send the call with no caller ID in the ISDN or SIP messages.
