We have to setup a Bogen Paging system using a HT503 ATA device in local GW FXS port for CUCM.
Please provide an understandding on how this is gonna setup.
It will have multizone paging i.e. if you press different number it will page out different zone.
Generally we create a Route pattern which will go to the gateway and activate the FXS port.

Hi Shyam,
Can you provide details of this call flow from the perspective of VG and CUCM. Not sure which route pattern you talking about.

So we are using CUCM 8.5 and at that site we have a 2921 with a 4 port FXS card. HT503 is some sort of ATA device which will be connected to one of the FXS port and that Bogen paging system will be connected to that ATA device.
So what customer want is to have 4 different dial code *01, *02, *03, *04 to page different area. So it will be like creating 4 different route pattern and sending them over to that FXS port. and that paging system will accept that code and page out specific zone.

Hi Shyam,
Your gateway talks SIP or H323 Right ? And thats the reason you create route pattern to send calls. There not much CUCM configuration in this call flow apart from Route Pattern point to VG/2921.

It has both sip and h323 connection allowed.

OK, first of all, you will not be connecting the FXS port of the 2921 to the HT503. The HT503 LAN port need to be on your LAN and you need to configure it as a SIP gateway. The 2921 is not needed to access the Bogen.
A multi-zone paging adaptor needs to use a trunk port. Correction: most multi-zone paging adaptors need a trunk port; It is possible (which means someone has done it) to configure a paging adaptor on an FXS port that connects and then waits for a DTMF tone to select the zone.
Based on the code you mentioned, I assume you are talking about a Bogen UTI312 unit, which does use an FXO port. It needs an FXO port (i.e. trunk port) because it is expecting call setup signalling over the line. That signalling would be the selected zone. So the setup here would be the CUCM has a route pattern that sends the Bogen code (i.e. *01) as the called number and routes the call to the HT503 gateway, which is setup as a SIP gateway in CUCM. The SIP gateway on the HT503 is configured to route any call that starts with an '*' to the FXO port. And finally the Bogen in connected to the FXO port of the HT503.

Hi Chris,
Really appreciate this. Do you have some sort of config example on the GW that I need to do as If I am sending the *01 route pattern over to 2921..I guess I need to create a dial peer to route that destination pattern *01 over to that SIP gw..any configs would help on this.

It you have an FXO port on the 2921, you can use that. But that FXO port would replace the HT503. The configure for that on the 2921 would be something like:
dial-peer voice 1000 pots
destination-pattern *0.
forward-digits all
port x/y/z
If you are stuck using the HT503, I can't help you directly. I'm never set up a HT503. It looks like you will need to setup a VOIP-to-PSTN call. The instructions will only be marginally helpful, because the HT503 is designed to connect the FXO port to the PSTN, not a paging adaptor.

When I contacted Bogen they told that the line coming from Bogen will be connected to one of the FXS port on the gateway.
Do I configured a dial peer pointing at the port but when I am dialling 00,01 or 02 the port went off hook it rings three time and automatically go to on-hook.
anything I am missing here?

Configured this at last..
Assigned a number to that port and then after calling that number just pressing *01,*02..
It's working now.
