Hi
A customer has recently installed a Door/gate entry system(Pancode VOIP) .
This is registered on CCM vers 7.1 as a SIP device.
From the gate they can dial a IP phone in the office and speak to the receptionist, but are unable to open the gate remotely.
I have ticked the Require DTMF reception box and the MTP required box.
Has anybody set up this system/ any ideas

Hey Billy,
I'm in the proces of looking for an upgrade to a gate entry system so I started looking around a bit. I found this, "Depending on the capabilities of the SIP endpoint, Cisco Unified Communications Manager may require an RFC 2833 DTMF-compliant media termination point device to make SIP calls." (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/7_0_1/ccmcfg/b04mtp.html)
In the documentation for the Pancode product I see it uses inband signaling DTMF TIA464B. I just did a bit more searching and see there are two DTMF options in the configuration... "Defines the mode of providing DTMF tone information in the SIP VoIP network. Possible choice: RFC 2833 or Transparent (In-Band DTMF)."
I'm no DTMF expert but this may point you on the right path.
I'd be interested if what you coming up with for a solution.

Hi
Yes in the config notes it does state you can select RFC 2833 or transparent.
But having done some investigation it appears they only support Transparent ??
