Hi guys, Q regarding Path replacement.
We have CUCM v7.1.5 linked with some Siemens PBX's. Path optimisation works in most cases very well. In soms cases it also works but too well. Let me explain.
Call comes in via CUBE (SIP trunk). Call is sent via QSig to IVR(3222104724) (non Cisco). This IVR (with menu) sends the call to an extension(3222104701) also on CUCM.
In this case, path replacement works like a charm. Both IVR channels are released. Great!
Next case: Call comes in via CUBE. Call is sent via QSig to IVR (3222104724) (non Cisco). Via the menu, the IVR then sends the call to a Cisco CTI-RP which is monitored by Genesys T Srv. The Genesys app should forward the call to an extension but before it can transfer the call the call is dropped.
We think that CUCM considers the call as 'connected' and hence it tries to do path optimisation. This apparently doesn't work.
We could play with Path optimisation timers but this is no solution for us. Any ideas or remarks for this one?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Lieven

We have a very similar issue with dropped transfers. Did you ever figure this one out?

hello Rachel,
Sorry to say that we indeed invested quite a lot of time into this one, even with Cisco TAC.
Bottom line was that our main point of concern was caused by the Genesys T server.
Cisco sent out a message to Gen T-srv but it failed to respond onto this message.
This caused CUCM to drop the call.
We also tried to get some more information from Genesys itself but their answer was rather blurry. It appeared that this was an 'unsupported callflow' (their words)
Best Regards,
