Hello,

We are experiencing an issue with Jabber version 9.7 regarding persistent chat rooms.

Some users are able to see the persistent chat icon where as others cannot. All users are using the same Jabber-config.xml file

We are unable to upgrade to a later version of jabber for these users due to compatibility issues.

Hi Aly,

Can you verify the config as per the following

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/unified-communications/jabber-windows/118040-configure-jabber-00.html

If the issue persists then you should get Jabber problem report from a working and non working client

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/voice-unified-communications/jabber-windows/116334-trouble-jabber-problem-00.html

Manish

Hello Manish,

Thanks for the response.

As checked, configuration were good.

But still, some users were not able to see persistent chat from their jabber apps.

Tried to restart XCP services, getting the same result. We don't want to restart the server CUPS server yet.

Aly

If config has been verified for working and non working users and server can not be restarted then as suggested earlier we need to check the jabber problem report to begin with.

Manish

Thanks Manish. Shall we choose Chats?

Yes, have you restarted the XCP Text conference manager service as well?

Manish

Yes Manish. In fact, we tried to restart all XCP services in both publisher and subscriber.

Please see attached jabber problem report.

Hi Aly,

I checked the logs but did not see any messages related to this issue, maybe you can check with TAC to investigate further.
