I'm problem
In a customer. When I use UPC 7.x the calls between site (g729 works fine). But when I use UPC 8.0.171.15962 (CSF) the calls using g729 (softphone mode) not works. I need change de codec of region to g711.
Somebody knows if the Personal 8.0.171.15962 have a problem with g729?
The xcode is correct and, again, the UPC 7 works fine with all codec.

I found the problem.... but not the solution.
The personal 8 (CSF) have a problem with use the SIP TRUNK, example
We have a cucm and pbx using SIP TRUNK
When upc 7 call the phones of pbx in g729, the calls works
When upc 8 (csf) call the phons of pbx in g729, the calls not works (work just in g711).
Now is find the solution

Did you find the fix?
We have a similar issue where we can't send g729 down a h323 gatekeeper trunk from csf 8 but can from deskphones or IP communicator devices (on the same IP address! )

No buddy, I not found the solution....you tried upgrade de CSF....I think is a problem between sip x h323 negation with codec. You trunk with GK use MTP?

No the H323 gatekeeper trunks we are using do not use a MTP.
I have logged a call with Cisco TAC so lets see what they have to say!!
