I have 2 extensions on 2 different VG224's that hang up after half a ring when dialing them. They call out just fine, only inbound calls are the issue. I have moved them to different ports, changed extension numbers, replaced the phone, problem still exists. I ran a show voice call summary and dialed the number and on that port I get a FXSLS_WAIT_RELEASE_REQ and then the calls goes back on hook. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
What is the IOS version? in the particular voice-port try "no caller id enable" shut & unshut the port and try making the call to the DN mapped in the interface.
Thankyou

IOS version is 12.4(22)T5.
Tried the no-caller id enabled and done a shut no shut on the port and it the issue still exists.
Thanks,
Mark

Do you have NAT enabled?

NAT is not enabled.

I was setting up Asterisk at home when I encountered this. After a few hours of troubleshooting, this was because I enabled NAT when my VSP recommends I turn NAT off.
During the issue, the calls would not last 20 seconds.
So after I disabled NAT, everything went fine.
I'm not sure, but talk to your VSP and ask them if NAT should be enabled or disabled.

The strange thing is, all the other phones on these VG's work fine, it is just these 2 lines.

I'm nof familiar with VG's but how did you create these two problematic extension numbers? Did you "clone" or "duplicate" them or did you create a brand-new template?

Setup the ports in Call Manager the exact same way as the extensions that are working. Looked at the configurations and mirrored them.
