Good Day,
After adding and configuring a Cisco 7841 phone in the CM14, and then going to the phone for activation, it's asking for a Primary number and Pin. I absolutely know that enabling a 'PIN' in the configurations isn't an option to select. When I manually reset the phone, it will defaulting to the 'Primary Number & Pin' screen. The phone LCD screen also states "Replace an existing phone. Please power off the old phone"...it's a new phone and isn't replacing an existing one. See attachment.

The MAC address is correct. I've tried with several phones (using the testing phone MAC) and keep getting the same results.

In CUCM go the phone config page and check the following section:
Delete any settings of those fields, so every field is blank like in the screenshot.
Save and apply the config.

Hi,
It the phone able to reach the CUCM TFTP service?
Is seems that the phone is not present on CUCM config or you selected a different model than the one you have.
What happens if you press cancel button?
Please let me know
Regards
Carlo

If I hit the cancel button, it goes through the registration process and right back to asking for a number and pin.

You're probably using this

The phones are asking to enter the Primary Extension number, and the PIN is the default behavior if the phone doesn’t find configurations on CUCM for the phone’s MAC address. When it doesn’t find a configuration, it prompts you to enter the primary extension and PIN, assuming this phone will be used as a replacement phone for a configured phone in the system.
If you have the right phone model and MAC configured, the phone should register if it can reach the CUCM.
To troubleshoot further, read the status message from the phone settings.
Btw I didnt understand what you mean by this reply "I've tried with several phones (using the testing phone MAC) and keep getting the same results."

What I meant was I've tried setting up several phones and kept getting the same results, using the MAC of the phone was I attempting to set up.

I'm still having the issue, but I've found a work around. After deleting the Directory Number and then deleting the Device Name (of the phones I've initially setup) and re-creating a new phone setup, it works. I have no idea why I have to go through those steps for new setups....CRAZY.
