Hi,
I would like to enable the "Call Pickup" function in a 6911 phone. And in the phone button template of the 6911 SCCP, I see 10 buttons.
The button number 1 is the Line and the other buttons are Speed Dials. What is the number of button that allows pickup calls??
Thanks!

Hi,
Firstly check the settings on the phone and find out what SOFTKEY TEMPLATE is being used.
Then you need to look under the Device --> Device Settings --> Softkey Template
Select the the Template that your phone is using.Lets say its Standard User
In the top right hit the GO button against Softkey template configuration
Change the centre drop down to "Off Hook"
You shoulod see that the Button for Pick Up is already selected.
I have also checked this for Standard Feature template too.
Remember to use the Pickup function the phone has to be OFF HOOK

Hi and thanks Alex,
The configuration of the 6911 is:
Phone parameters:
Phone Button Template: Standard 6911 SCCP
Softkey Template: Standard User
Layout Stadard 6911 SCCP
1. Line (enable)
2. Speed Dial
3. Speed Dial
4. ....
10. Speed Dial
Layout Standard User Template:
Call State to configure: Off Hook
In the Selected Softkeys: Redial, End Call, Forward All, Pick Up, Group Pick UP Meet Me.
Whit the above configuration, I performed test of pickup calls within the same Pickup Group, as follows:
I hear the characteristic sound of the pickup group feature, then I pick up the handset of the telephone (off hook)
and press the button, but I am unable to capture the call.

Hi Matthew,
I just wanted to add a link to this thread in addition to the great tips from Alex (+5-A)
We don't use any 6911's so I can't test this for you, but I thought this was interesting
and somewhat related to your query

The correct configuration is as follows:
1.- Device >> Device Setting >> Phone Button Template
1.1 Add a new Button Template Name:
2. Apply the new Phone button template to the 6911 phone
3. Lifting the handset, press the key and then press the 1 key. ( button 2 -1 = 1)

When I attempt I get this message, can you help? It reads, "There are no associated devices to restart"

Hi Zimran,
I believe this message is just indicating that there are not any Devices currently using
that Button Template, thus, no Devices to reset.
You might be creating a new Button template which would then have to
be assigned to the specified phones
Cheers!

Here's how I did it:
ephone-template 1
feature-button 1 Gpickup
ephone-dn 1
pickup-group 1
ephone 1
type 6911
...
ephone-template 1
telephony-service
no cr cnf
cr cnf
ephone 1
reset
then, to pickup, take the phone off hook, press the feature button (
