Plantronics headset works only on cisco 7960 handset port

Hello All,

I recently bought Plantronics HW251N headset with the A10 adapter. When I connect the headset into the 7960's headset port,

I don’t hear a dial tone. When I try plugging it in 7960's handset port, it does work. Also, I tried with different other phone's headset port, but still the issue persists.

Please advised on what could be the issue.

Hi there,

The one part you need which is required for all "corded" Plantronics Headsets

(to go from Headset Jack on Cisco phones to the "Quick Disconnect" on Headset) is;

Part#Amp-26716-01

Without this cord they will never work
