Hello:
I have bought a Cisco IP Conference Station 7937G and its specific PoE injector "Cisco power splitter CP-7937-PWR-SPL". The Phone powers-up but it does not connect to the Ethernet line. It says that the network connection is not active. Effectively, in the UC520 router (or any other switch I tried in the network) there is no active LED corresponding to the cable coming from the 7937. I have configurate it to work in DHCP mode, and I have inserted a Network Protocol Analyzer to show some traffic. The phone sends nothing, and at least it should send an ARP request for a DHCP server. Furthermore, even that the PoE injector has a standard 8 pin RJ45 connector, the 7937 has a 10 pin RJ50 connector, physically compatible with the RJ45 (of course without connecting the two outer pins). That sounds strange...Does anybody know if I need a special cable? Does anybody have the diagram of such a cable?
