Hi,

We are using Cisco Unified Presence Server version 7.0 with CUCM 7.0.

We have Cisco Unified Personal Communicators configured and working fine.

I am wondering if it's possible, to create presence groups? I know it's possible with CCM, but i wonder if it's possible to do it with Presence server. In fact i would like to create presence group with CUPC, because i don't like some person to see the status of the Manager for example via CUPC.

Is this possible please?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi!

CUPS has its own access list control. It does not use CUCM's presence group. You may configure the privacy on CUP end user page.(http://iip-address-of-cups/ccmuser)

The Presence Groups created on CUCM are used for BLF. BLF is a built-in presence feature on CUCM so you can see your buddy's phone status (offhook, onhook).

Refer to the SRND:

--> Cisco Unified Presence Server Policy

https://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/srnd/7x/presence.html

HTH!

Regards,

Teresa.
