Guys,

I'm really thinking this is a Telco issue but I'd like to get your thoughts on this.

On a 3945, I'm receiving a huge amount of RTMT alerts about a PRI going up and down a lot. The Show controller t1 ouutput show a lot of errors:

T1 0/0/0 is up.

  Applique type is Channelized T1

  Cablelength is long 0db

  Description: Circut ID XXXXXXXXXXX

  No alarms detected.

  alarm-trigger is not set

Soaking time: 3, Clearance time: 10

  AIS State:Clear  LOS State:Clear  LOF State:Clear

Version info FPGA Rev: 08121917, FPGA Type: PRK4

Framing is ESF, Line Code is B8ZS, Clock Source is Line.

CRC Threshold is 320. Reported from firmware  is 320.

Data in current interval (433 seconds elapsed):

0 Line Code Violations, 3714 Path Code Violations

4 Slip Secs, 53 Fr Loss Secs, 0 Line Err Secs, 0 Degraded Mins

156 Errored Secs, 74 Bursty Err Secs, 4 Severely Err Secs, 49 Unavail Secs

  Total Data (last 24 hours)

8467 Line Code Violations, 443834 Path Code Violations,

2437 Slip Secs, 7480 Fr Loss Secs, 259 Line Err Secs, 54 Degraded Mins,

19839 Errored Secs, 8507 Bursty Err Secs, 403 Severely Err Secs, 7576 Unavail Secs

T1 0/0/1 is down.

Anything else I need to look at?

Any help would be appreciated!

Gareth

Hi,

If path code violations keep increasing, contact your service  provider to check the line, because path code violations can be  caused by physical line problems. And you have 443834 Path Code Violations in last 24 hrs, you may want to check your service provider for the line.

As we both thought, this did turn out to be a Telco issue. They had to reterminate a new pair for the T1.

Thank you for your reply.
