Hi,
I have an issue with one of 7062G phones, which has two expansion module 7916s installed. Both of the expansion have power and have been connected, but only the first one is showing the speed dials.
In the CUCM (7.0.2) we've configured the Module1 & Module2 with "7916 24-Button Line Expansion Module" under device profile -> "Expansion Module Information". We've also created a phone button template copying Standard 7962G SCCP profile and added 40 speed dials.
The user is now able to create all 40 speed dials in her configuration view, but the only the speed dials from 1 through 24 are shown on the first expansion module. The second expansion module is on, but the screen is blank.
What could be the issue? Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Hi,
Here is the link to the install document
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cuipph/7916/english/16enug.pdf
Check you cabling & power supply set up.
Also do you have enough Licenses on your CUCM to support this device.
Do the LEDS ever light when the unit is powered up.
Hope this helps
Regards
Alex.

Hi,
Thanks, but upgrading the phone did not resolve the issue.
I think I found the fault. Our customer uses device profiles and I've set up a new Phone Button Template with 42 speed dials on it. Still, when I go to the phone configuration and click "View User Device Configuration" under Extension Information, it states "Standard 7962G 28 SD SCCP" as phone button template. I have no idea why this is, maybe a need to restart a certain service to fix the issue? The phone button template should be "Standard 7962G 42 SCCP" as it is configured on the profile.
Anyway, I gave up using device profiles on these two phones for and the expansion modules now work with the 7962G phone configuration.

Antti
