Hi All!
I have got a problem with a franking machine which is connected to a modem . This modem is connected to an FXS Card/Cisco 2951 Router/Voice Gateway.
The Modem can dial the selected umber, but we have only one way Audio you can say. The modem can "hear" the other endpoint but the other endpoint not the modem. The connection can be established....
We tested the function with an standard telephone line (analog line / POTS).
Here a picture with the connetions:
We tried MGCP and SCCP on the Gateway - no chance.
Maybe there is a problem because of the public and internal line terminates on the same router?
Thanks!
Stefan

Hi Stefan,
Have you tried the following;
plug an anlog phone in the FXS and call the FM provider?(configure some dialpeers to make this work.)
plug an anlog phone in the FXS and call normal PSTN number and check the audio
request your TELCO ISDN provider to bring their tester and make their own test call to FM provider using your DID block, then check the audio.
with this you can isolate which part of the call flow causes the problem.
HTH,
regards,
Paul

yes - resolved - thanks for your help Yogesh
solution for this case was to adjust the gain on the voice port:
voice-port 0/2/0
input gain -5
output attenuation -5
